We are a asian only auto repair shop. We have seen the following failure, six or seven times. On honda odyssey vehicles, the inside edge of the aluminum wheels are eating away & destroying the inner bead of the tires. Three of our employees and one of our customers have encountered this. Wheels
There was no tire damage. Do not know how wheels became cracked. Do not know of any impact damage that may of caused such a problem. The tires show no signs of any signifivant impact. Dealer and honda america contacted and refused to re-imburse me for wheels, and also declined to at least investigate the possible problem with quality of the wheels.
