I wan on vacation 500 miles away from home. Driving the 2006 honda odyssey as normal on the highway. All of a sudden the engine started over-revving and the van slowed down. I pulled over safely. The van would not move in drive although the engine was fine. It had to be towed 100 miles to a transmission shop where we discovered the transmission had to be replaced at great cost. *tr

Experiencing vibration in vehicle during acceleration between 40-60 mph. Took the van to mechanic and was informed that two motors mounts are bad and need replacing. These are not wear and tear items and should not need replacing. This appears to be a problem with honda odyssey vans and this problem is not being covered by warranty since the failure occurs around 100k to 150k miles. *tr

When the vehicle is started up, there is a sudden period of unwarranted acceleration (less than a second). It feels like the accelerator input is misread and re-calibrated and then the problem does not come back. I have noticed this problem more often in cooler weather than otherwise. *tr
