Driving on i-75 south between exit 123 and exit 116. I heard a pop and the car started to shimmy i decelerated and pulled to the shoulder. The front right tire was totally shredded. The entire side wall was gone. I had just check the pressures the day before.

The van has michelin 235/60r17 tires purchased new in 7/4/2009. One tire failed 3/5/12 with sidewall rupture at 30,500 miles; i have a photo of the damaged michelin tire area. Tire had rapid air leak - essentially a blowout; was going 20 mph. Second tire failed on 8/10/12 with leak at 35,700 miles. Tire had sidewall leak deflating tire in 10-12 minutes; was going 15 mph.
